At the Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty forum various initiatives were outlined to develop cooperation with China
Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty became a stage for an important event that united entrepreneurs and representatives of two states - Kazakhstan and China (Shandong Province). The forum, organized jointly, marked the next stage in the development of trade and economic relations between these two regions.
Shandong is in third place among Kazakhstan's regional trading partners in China, second only to XUAR and Beijing. This meeting is a logical continuation of previous working meetings that took place two weeks ago in Jinan (Shandong Province).
Trade between Kazakhstan and Shandong province amounted to an impressive $1.1 billion in the first half of 2023, and this figure continues to grow.
The forum also served as an occasion for the signing of several key agreements on future cooperation.
One of the significant events of the forum was the signing of a memorandum on the creation of the Alliance of Enterprises of Central Asia and China. With the support of the Almaty akimat and the government of Shandong province, Alliance headquarters will be established in Almaty and Shandong province to protect the legitimate rights and interests of entrepreneurs from Central Asia and China.
Alliance members will have the right to elect the chairman of the association, and it will include a permanent advisory committee elected for a three-year term. The Alliance's areas of interest include the development of the automotive industry, culture, education, energy and logistics.
The Alliance plans to hold annual general meetings of all its members, organizing them alternately in China and Kazakhstan. These events will be aimed at summing up the results of the year and approving plans for the coming period.
Entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and China took part in the forum.
It should be noted that the forum was organized with the active support of the government of Shandong Province and with the participation of KAZ DOAO (a subsidiary of XJ DOAO, China), which also took part in organizing the event in Kazakhstan.
To improve economic and trade ties between Central Asia and China, the Alliance and KAZ DOAO will launch the “Khan-One Cross-Border Electronic Wholesale Platform”. This platform will provide efficient digital trade logistics and financial services for the supply chain, benefiting Chinese manufacturers and Central Asian entrepreneurs.
